New Delhi, July 25(HS): Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla convened an all-party meeting on Friday to address the ongoing deadlock in the house, which has persisted for five consecutive days. An agreement was reached to facilitate the proceedings starting Monday, with opposition leaders expressing their willingness to cooperate.
Next week, a discussion on Operation Sindoor will take place in the Rajya Sabha, with 16 hours allocated. Since the monsoon session began, both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha have faced disruptions due to opposition protests regarding Operation Sindoor and the SIR process in Bihar.
Today, disruptions continued in the Lok Sabha, leading to a suspension of proceedings until 2 PM, when the Reallocation of Scheduled Tribes' Representation Bill, 2024 was introduced but met with further opposition uproar, resulting in another suspension until Monday. The Rajya Sabha also faced disruptions, leading to suspensions throughout the day.
