New Delhi, July 25 (H.S.): Chief of Defence Staff General Anil Chauhan affirmed on Friday that India's 'Operation Sindoor' against terrorist organizations in Pakistan and PoK is active, with armed forces on high alert 24/7 to counter any provocations. He highlighted the importance of the army mastering both 'Shastra' (warfare) and 'Shaastr' (knowledge), ensuring sustained high preparedness throughout the year.
During a seminar on ‘Aerospace Power: Preserving India's Sovereignty and Promoting National Interests’ in New Delhi, he referred to the current period as the 'third revolution in military warfare', emphasizing the rapid technological advancements influencing modern warfare. This new form of conflict merges kinetic and non-kinetic tactics, blending elements from various generations of warfare and encompassing strategic, operational, and tactical domains.
General Chauhan reiterated the necessity for continuous readiness, using 'Operation Sindoor' as an example, and stated that with evolving technology, mastery over all warfare tiers is crucial. He underscored that in warfare, there is no second place, reinforcing the commitment to maintaining a high state of readiness.
