Delhi, 25 July (H.S.): MY Bharat (Mera Yuva Bharat), under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, will organise the 'Kargil Vijay Diwas Padyatra' on 26th July 2025 in Drass, Kargil, commemorating the 26th anniversary of India’s victory in the 1999 Kargil War. The event will be led by Union Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports, Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya, alongside Union Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth, with over 1,000 participants, including youth, veterans, armed forces personnel, and families of martyrs. The padyatra will cover 1.5 kilometers, starting at Himabass Public High School and ending at Government Higher Secondary School, Bhimbet. After the padyatra, Union Ministers and 100 youth volunteers will visit the Kargil War Memorial to pay homage to the fallen soldiers.

Additionally, 26 women bikers from the Shakti Udgosh Foundation will be recognized for their tribute rally. The event will incorporate a plantation drive under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” initiative, promoting environmental consciousness alongside patriotism.

In the lead-up, MY Bharat has engaged local youth and communities through various activities to foster civic awareness and connect emotionally with the armed forces.
