Lucknow,

25 July (HS): Senior BJP leader and Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister

Keshav Prasad Maurya said that Narendra Modi has set a new record by leaving

behind Indira Gandhi by serving as the Prime Minister of India for 4078

consecutive days. Modi has now become the second longest serving Prime Minister

of independent India. Former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi had led the country

for 4077 days in two tenures.

Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said that in

his journey from the land of Baba Somnath to Baba Vishwanath, Prime Minister

Narendra Modi has created such a history without any political legacy or the

support of any family, which rarely happens in ages. Till now, he has the pride

of serving on constitutional posts continuously for 4,610 days as the Chief

Minister of Gujarat and 4,078 days (still counting) as the Prime Minister of

India, a total of 8,688 days!

The Deputy Chief Minister wrote on his social media account on Friday

that this is not just a number, it is an indelible stamp of the unwavering

trust and love of the 140 crore people of the country on him. This example is

'unique' in a diverse democracy like India. Due to women empowerment and

welfare schemes for the poor, along with the unwavering trust of the countrymen

in him, he has also been awarded the highest honors by 27 countries of the

world.

He wrote that in the month of Shravan, I pray to Mahadev to keep our

Prime Minister always energetic, compassionate and successful, so that India

continues to progress towards becoming a developed nation.
