Bangalore, 10 July (H.S.): The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted raids at five locations in Bengaluru, including the residence of Congress MLA B. Subba Reddy, on Thursday morning. The raids were carried out over alleged violations of the Foreign Exchange Management Act (FEMA).
Subba Reddy, who represents the Bagepalli constituency in Chikkaballapur district, is under investigation along with his family members and business associates. Searches are underway at their properties. Authorities are probing foreign investments, bank accounts, and assets reportedly held in Malaysia, Hong Kong, and Germany.
Sources indicate that the raids were launched in anticipation of uncovering significant documents related to foreign transactions and investments. The investigation also extends to the MLA’s relatives and business links.
