10 July (HS): The police team solved the robbery case of a couple in Baruasagar

police station area in just 36 hours. A joint team of Baruasagar police and

SWAT had an encounter with the vicious criminals who carried out the robbery.

In this encounter, two criminals were shot in the legs, while the third

criminal was arrested by the police after surrounding him.

City Gyanendra Kumar Singh said that on 7th July, a couple travelling from

Jhansi to Baruasagar was robbed by some miscreants near Jaray Math. The

miscreants fled after robbing the couple's bike. After this incident,

Baruasagar police immediately registered a case and started searching for the miscreants.

The

police received information from an informer that some miscreants are planning

to carry out another robbery near Vangua. On receiving the information, SWAT

and Baruasagar police jointly surrounded the miscreants. On seeing the police,

the miscreants started firing at the police team. The police also retaliated

and fired, in which two miscreants were shot in the leg. Their names are

Brajesh Kushwaha, resident of police station area Samthar. He has been to jail

earlier also. Kapil Patel, resident of Erach police station area, on whom three

cases are already registered. At the same time, the third miscreant, a juvenile

offender, was successfully surrounded and arrested by the police by making a

strategy.

After

the encounter, the police recovered the looted gold and silver jewellery and

the bike used in the crime from the criminals. SP City also said that the

arrested criminals had committed many other criminal incidents before this,

which is being investigated.

Both

the criminals injured by the bullets have been admitted to the medical college,

where they are undergoing treatment. The police have started further legal

proceedings. Other crimes are also likely to be revealed on the basis of

interrogation of these criminals.
