Serampore, 15 June (H.S.): A week ago, there was a lot of uproar over the pictures of Hindu gods and goddesses on a wall near the CPI(M) office at Kumirjala Road area of Serampore, right in front of the drain. BJP leader Hari Mishra reached the spot and registered his objection.
The chairman of Serampore Municipality also assured action in this matter. On Sunday morning, it was noticed that the pictures of gods and goddesses on the wall of the house had been removed. The local BJP leadership thanked the owner of the house for removing the pictures of gods and goddesses from in front of the drain and said that we were hurt by the pictures of gods and goddesses in front of the drain. Now this is a welcome step.
