Bhubaneswar, 15 June (H.S.): Today, Odisha Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Mukesh Mahalinga chaired a comprehensive review meeting on diarrhoea prevention and control at the Collector's Conference Hall in Jajpur. The meeting focused on the availability of medical equipment, deployment of specialist doctors, and effective strategies for the eradication of diarrhoea across the district.
During the meeting, Dr. Mahalinga directed doctors and healthcare staff to ensure timely and quality treatment for patients, along with maintaining compassionate and respectful conduct. Discussions also emphasized the need to intensify household-level awareness campaigns on diarrhoea prevention.
Special instructions were given to district officials to take immediate steps for water purification at the ground level and to involve ASHA and Anganwadi workers in spreading awareness across every village.
Following the meeting, Dr. Mahalinga, accompanied by other dignitaries, visited the Jajpur Road Group Health Centre to review the treatment and care being provided to diarrhoea patients. He urged medical professionals to prioritize public health and reassured citizens that there is no need to panic.
