South 24 Parganas, 15 June (H.S.) A glass of alcohol in front of her. A cigarette in her mouth. She is partying with the rape accused sitting at the same place. CPM committee member of South 24 Parganas district Tanushree Mandal is in controversy after her picture went viral on social media on Sunday. However, Hindusthan Samachar does not confirm the authenticity of the viral picture. The Trinamool has strongly condemned it, while till the time of filing of the news, the CPM leadership did not bother to react on the issue.

On Sunday, Trinamool leader Mrityunjay Pal posted a picture of the CPM leader's 'drunk party' on social media. He wrote, Empty but drunk in the assembly. CPM leader Tanushree's 'drunk party' in South 24 Parganas. Not a single seat in the assembly, but 100 out of 100 drunk!

Amid the organisational collapse of the CPM in the state, a picture of South 24 Parganas district committee member Tanushree Mandal has recently gone viral, in which she is seen chatting with another youth leader of the party with a glass of alcohol in her hand. The youth leader sitting next to her in the picture is Abhinandan Dutta Gupta, who is a member of the Central Jadavpur area committee and is currently accused in serious charges like rape. Yet, no disciplinary action has been taken against him by the party.
