Lucknow, 15 June (HS): Home Minister Amit Shah will reach the
Defense Expo Ground in the capital Lucknow shortly. CM Yogi Adityanath will
also be present with him. He will hand over appointment letters to the newly
selected police constables. Before this, all preparations for the program have
been completed. Appointment letters will be distributed to 60,244 newly
selected constables of the police department in UP today. Union Home Minister
Amit Shah and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will hand over the appointment
letters. Earlier, DGP Rajiv Krishna inspected the Defense Expo ground along
with senior officials and gave necessary instructions.
The DGP said that Union Home
Minister Amit Shah is the chief guest at the event. Along with CM Yogi
Adityanath, he will give appointment letters to the newly selected constables
coming from all over the state. Extensive arrangements have been made for this.
From their home districts to the event venue, we have designated an
intermediate district where they will stay overnight. 48,196 male and 12,048
female candidates have been selected for the post of constable civil police. A
total of 48.17 lakh applications were received for the examination conducted by
the Police Recruitment and Promotion Board, out of which 15.49 lakh were women.
The highest number of candidates were selected from Agra (2,349). 1,145
candidates have also been selected from other states like Bihar, Madhya
Pradesh, Rajasthan, Haryana, Delhi etc.
