Kolkata, 15 June (H.S.): BJP MP and former judge Abhijit Ganguly was admitted to a private hospital in Alipur after his health suddenly deteriorated on Saturday night.

As per information, Abhijit Gangopadhyay suddenly started vomiting and having severe stomach pain on Saturday. In such a condition, he was admitted to a private hospital in Alipur. The BJP MP is currently admitted there. Treatment has started under the supervision of doctors of the Medicine Department. Doctors of the Surgery Department are also monitoring him. According to the doctors, he was having severe stomach pain. He has vomited several times at home as well. According to hospital sources, his condition is somewhat stable at the moment.

Currently Abhijit Gangopadhyay is 62 years old. As a result, he has age-related problems. It is believed that this incident may have happened due to the scorching heat and food problems in the last few days. However, the doctors have not given a clear reason for Abhijitbabu's vomiting and stomach pain.

Notably, Abhijit Gangopadhyay has directly entered politics after resigning from the post of Judge of Calcutta High Court. He contested the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from Tamluk constituency on a BJP ticket. He won by defeating Trinamool candidate Debangshu Bhattacharya.
