and Cooperation Minister Amit Shah on Sunday said that Naxalism, which was

spread in 11 states, is now limited to only three districts, and India will be

completely Naxal-free by March 31, 2026. The Modi government has also taken a

tough stand against terrorism. Shah said that Pakistan attempted terrorist

attacks thrice, but India gave a befitting reply every time and destroyed the

terrorist hideouts. Referring to Operation Sindoor, he said that the Indian Air

Force razed the headquarters of the terrorists to the ground. The Home Minister

was addressing the program organized at Defense Expo Ground, Sector 18,

Vrindavan Yojana, Lucknow on Sunday. On this occasion Appointment letters were

distributed to 60,244 newly appointed police personnel.

In his address, Amit Shah praised

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for a transparent and inclusive

recruitment process. He said that Yogi Adityanath is the most successful Chief

Minister. Under Yogi's leadership, Uttar Pradesh Police has not only made the

recruitment process fair and merit-based, but has also set a new record by

providing opportunities to youth from every caste, district and tehsil. Shah

particularly emphasized that in these appointments, there was no discrimination

on the basis of expenditure, slip, recommendation and caste, but the entire

process was transparent and based on merit.

UP police is the largest police

force in the country: In his address, Amit Shah said that Uttar Pradesh Police

is the largest police force in the country and today 60,244 youths are becoming

an integral part of it. He termed this day as the most auspicious day in the

life of the newly appointed personnel and said that this is a moment of pride.

Shah said that these include more than 12 thousand daughters, seeing the

happiness on whose faces he got immense relief. He said that 100 percent

benefit of reserved posts for women has been ensured in Uttar Pradesh, which is

a big achievement of the Yogi government.

Law and order situation improved

under Yogi government; Shah, while discussing the changes in Uttar Pradesh

after 2017, said that since independence, the law and order situation in Uttar

Pradesh had been continuously deteriorating, but after the formation of the BJP

government under the leadership of Yogi Adityanath in 2017, the UP Police

started touching new heights. He said that Yogi ji has started a transformative

era by taking schemes like industrial development, education, law and order,

infrastructure, electricity and tap water to the people. Shah stressed that UP

is no longer a stronghold of riots, but has become riot-free, and the orders of

goons no longer work. He called upon the newly appointed personnel to

strengthen this tradition further.

Appreciating transparent

recruitment and contribution of technology: The Union Home Minister laid

special emphasis on the transparency of the recruitment process. He said that

the use of technology, such as cameras, control rooms, command centres, PCR

vans and over 150 on-wheel forensic science lab vans has made the process fairer.

Shah claimed that none of the 60,244 youth had to pay a bribe of even a penny,

which is the biggest achievement of any government. He said that this

recruitment process was not only transparent but also ensured representation of

every section and region.

Modernization of police force and

discussion of new law: Shah also discussed the efforts made towards

modernization of the police force in the country under the leadership of Prime

Minister Narendra Modi. He said that with the implementation of new laws like

the Indian Judicial Code, Indian Civil Defense Code, and Indian Evidence Code,

such a system will be created in the country in the next five years, in which

justice from any FIR to the Supreme Court will be available within three years.

Apart from this, technologies like CCTNS (Crime and Criminal Tracking Network

and Systems), ICJS (Inter-operable Criminal Justice System) and Forensic

Science have further strengthened the police system.

Economic and social upliftment of

India: Amit Shah also highlighted the economic and social progress of the

country in his address. He said that in the last 11 years, 25 crore people have

come out of the poverty line and 60 crore people have benefited from schemes

like gas cylinders, toilets, tap water, free treatment and financial assistance

to farmers. He said that in 2014, India was the 11th largest economy in the

world, but today it is in fourth place and by 2027 it will reach the third

position. Shah said that the Modi government has provided opportunities to

every youth with steps like metro trains in more than 143 cities, more than 150

airports, and new education policy.

Discussion on the role of UP police

during Amrit Kaal: Amit Shah told the newly appointed personnel that they are

becoming a part of UP Police in Amrit Kaal and by 2047 when India will be

ranked first in the world, UP's contribution will be the biggest. He called

upon the youth to move forward with the mantra of security, service and

sensitivity. Shah said that the fear of UP Police should be tough on goons and

mafias, but for the poor, backward, and tribal communities, the police should

be seen as a messiah.

Police: In the end, Amit Shah called upon the newly appointed personnel of UP

Police to serve wholeheartedly. He said that it is a matter of pride to be a

part of this police force which has about four lakh members. He thanked Yogi

Adityanath once again and said that his transparent and inclusive policies have

taken the UP Police to new heights.
