Dhubri (Assam), 13 June (HS): Dhubri Lok Sabha constituency MP Rokibul Hussain reviewed various development works being done from MPLAD funds in a meeting held at Dhubri Circuit House. He discussed with the officials and concerned departments and instructed them to complete the works in a quality and timely manner.

During the review meeting, the MP also expressed concern over the recent situation in the district. He said that no element associated with the recent incidents should be spared. MP Hussain urged the district administration to take strict steps so that the situation does not deteriorate further. He said that no leniency should be shown towards the criminals or their supporters and the public should also cooperate with the administration.

Apart from this, MP Rokibul Hussain termed the incidents happening in the name of cow protection and the problem of floods as a national issue and demanded initiative from the central government for its permanent solution.

At the end of the meeting, he also held a meeting with the officials of Dhubri Sports Association regarding the development of sports facilities in the district and were assured to take necessary steps. ----------
