Guwahati, 1 June (HS): Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma paid tribute to late Nirmalprabha Bordoloi, a renowned poet, lyricist, children's literature writer and a deep researcher of folk culture, saying that her timeless literary contribution enlivens the Assamese language and culture.

The Chief Minister said, We can find many memories of our childhood and adolescence in the meaningful songs composed by Nila Baideu. The inspiration of her life will not only keep the literary and cultural world of Assam alive, but will also inspire the new generation to discuss her works. The Chief Minister also mentioned that Nirmalprabha Bordoloi's literary pursuit strengthens the cultural soul of Assam and her works still inspire the new generation to connect with their roots.---------------
