Kolkata, 1 June (H.S.): West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has insulted Sindoor. This is exactly what Home Minister Amit Shah said at the BJP's organizational meeting held at Netaji Indoor Stadium in Kolkata on Sunday afternoon. In his words, 'Mamata has insulted Sindoor. She has made bad and political comments even about the successful operations of the Indian army.'

Shah also said, 'The terrorists sent by Pakistan in Pahalgaon killed innocent tourists and citizens in front of their families after asking them about their religion. You tell me, is it not our duty to punish those terrorists sent by Pakistan? Did Modiji make a right decision or a mistake by carrying out Operation Sindoor?' He then added, 'We carried out surgical strikes. We carried out air strikes. Our army crossed the Pakistani border and entered 100 kilometers inside their country and destroyed the militants' bases. Hundreds of terrorists were eliminated in a blink of an eye.'

Up until then, the situation was normal. He was presenting the success story of Sindoor to the leaders and workers present at the meeting. And as soon as that praise story ended, Shah lashed out at West Bengal Chief Minister. In his words, 'Didi was feeling sick to her stomach after seeing so many successes. When the people of Bengal died, she did not say anything. But as soon as Modiji came to visit Bengal, there was opposition to that Operation Sindoor. Bad political comments were made. In fact, this is not just an opposition to Sindoor. It is also an opposition to the sentiments of crores of mothers and sisters in the country.

Accusing vote bank politics right from the meeting, Shah further said, She opposed Operation Sindoor to please Muslims. My request to the mother power of Bengal, please explain the price of sindoor in the next election. Please clarify what the meaning of sindoor is.
