01 June (HS): A head-on accident between two vehicles in Uttar Pradesh's
Chitrakoot district killed two people and badly wounded seven others on Sunday
afternoon, according to authorities. Arun Kumar Singh, Superintendent of Police
(SP) of Chitrakoot, stated that in the afternoon, a jeep traveling from Karvi
to Prayagraj crashed head-on with a truck at the Bhakharwara bend in Bandhi
village in Raipura police station area.
In this tragedy, nine individuals in both vehicles were hurt. He stated that
two of the injured died from their injuries while being treated at the
hospital, while the remainder are being treated at Ramnagar's government
hospital. According to the SP, the truck driver fell asleep, which appears to be
the cause of the collision. The inquiry into the accident has begun. Police
stated the deceased's remains had been transferred for post-mortem
examinations.
