Aligarh,
01 June (HS): A faculty member at Aligarh College has been accused of sending
improper texts to students. Students and
political organizations demanded action, which led to his suspension. Police
have filed a complaint and taken the accused's phone as evidence for further
investigation. Aligarh College is
involved in scandal when a staff member was accused of sending indecent texts
to female students. This concerning
episode has fueled calls for responsibility and justice among students and
political groups. Shajruddin, the accused, has been suspended for two months by
Varshney Degree College awaiting an internal investigation. Despite the college's prompt reaction,
students, supported by the BJP Yuva Morcha and the ABVP, have expressed
dissatisfaction with the police's alleged delays in responding to the
complaint.
This
commotion led to a demonstration on the college campus. The police have verified that a complaint has
been filed, and the accused's mobile phone has been impounded for further
investigation. MS Pathak, Additional
Superintendent of Police, said that evidence, including phone records, will be
examined to decide the next steps in the inquiry.
