Nadia, 1 June (H.S.): A woman's blood-soaked body was recovered from a jute field in the area adjacent to the Tungi railway gate in Krishnaganj of Nadia district on Sunday morning. According to police sources, the name of the deceased woman is Mukti Biswas (40).
According to local sources, on Sunday morning some passersby saw Mukti lying in a blood-soaked state in a jute field in the area adjacent to the Tungi railway gate on the Majdia-Gede State Highway. Krishnaganj police station was immediately informed. The police went and recovered the body. A bag and a keypad mobile phone were found near the dead body. Based on that, the police were successful in identifying the woman. An investigation has been initiated to find out the reasons for the murder. The police have sent the body for post-mortem.
Krishnanagar District Police Additional Superintendent (Headquarters) Sanjaymeet Kumar said, The body of a woman has been recovered. The body has been sent for post-mortem. The investigation is ongoing.
