01 June (HS): Ajay Tiwari and Ramesh Yadav were detained by the Uttar Pradesh
Police's Special Task Force for dispatching illicit liquor from Kushinagar
district. Tiwari was smuggling whiskey
into Bihar for a payment of Rs 1 lakh, while Yadav received a payoff of Rs
25,000. In Deoria, both are facing legal
action. The Uttar Pradesh Police Special
Task Force (STF) achieved a huge breakthrough when it apprehended two people
involved in a booze smuggling network in Kushinagar district. Ajay Tiwari, who was carrying a Rs 1 lakh
bounty, and Ramesh Yadav, who was carrying a Rs 25,000 reward, were apprehended
in Damodari Singha village. Tiwari's
operations spread to Bihar, where he was infamous for distributing large
amounts of illegal whiskey in cooperation with Ajit Singh, popularly known as
Jadi. Yadav was also charged in this illicit activity. The STF stated that Tiwari had six complaints
lodged against him at various Deoria police stations. Similarly, two cases were pending against
Yadav. Both men are now facing charges
at the Kotwali police station in Deoria district.
