Bhubaneswar, 31 May (H.S.): On the occasion of the 300th birth anniversary of ‘Lokmata’ Ahilyabai Holkar, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan paid a heartfelt tribute, remembering her remarkable contributions to Indian society, culture, and governance.

In a message shared on social media, Mr. Pradhan wrote, “I pay my respectful tribute to ‘Lokmata’ Ahilyabai Holkar on her 300th birth anniversary. A symbol of sacrifice, courage, righteousness, and public welfare in Indian history, Ahilyabai Holkar’s just and benevolent rule illuminated the path of dharma, culture, and service across the country.”

He further highlighted her immense contributions to the restoration of spiritual heritage, stating, “Through the reconstruction of several revered pilgrimage sites including Kashi Vishwanath, Somnath, Trimbakeshwar, and Rameswaram, she kindled the eternal flame of Sanatan culture.”
