Uttarkashi, 24 February (HS): Preparations for the proposed program of Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Mukhwa, the winter stay of Ganga ji, are in full swing.

The Chief Minister inspected the preparations ahead of the arrival of the PM. The Chief Minister held a meeting with the officials after offering prayers at the Ganga temple located at Mukhwa, the winter stay of Maa Ganga.

The PM is coming to Harshil and Mukhwa for the first time to promote winter travel and to see the works of the Vibrant Village Scheme.

The district administration will broadcast live at all tehsil and block levels including the Collectorate Auditorium.

People will be able to see the activities of PM's visit through LEDs at major places of Nyaya Panchayats and all the intersections of municipal bodies. Let us tell you that during the winter stay of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the proposed visit to Mukhwa Harshil will give new impetus to the tourism development of the Vibrant Village Scheme of Ganga Valley. There are possibilities of crores of rupees worth plans for the expansion of Gangotri and Yamunotri Dham getting momentum. On this occasion, Tourism Secretary Sachin Karve, Gangatri MLA Suresh Chauhan, BJP District President Satendra Singh Rana, Kishore Bhatt, District Magistrate Dr. Meharban Singh Bisht, Superintendent of Police Mrs. Sarita Dobal Tirtha Purohit were present.

During the proposed Harshil-Mukhwa visit of the Prime Minister, he will flag off two untouched tracks of India-China border. Preparations for this have been completed.

In order to promote adventure tourism activities in the wonderful and untouched tourist destinations of Nelang, Jadung, Sonam and PDA valleys adjoining the Indo-China border, preparations are being made to flag off motor bike rally, ATV-RTV rally and two trekking expeditions from Harshil. The Indian Army team will organize a motor bike-ATV-RTV rally from Harshil to PDA and a motor bike rally from Harshil to Jadung under the aegis of UTDB. While the ITBP will organize a trekking expedition from Neela Pani to Muling La Base and the NIM will organize a trekking expedition from Jadung to Janaktal.
