21 Feb (HS): Today, Uttar Pradesh has become an example for the entire country
in implementing the schemes of the central government. Finance Minister Suresh
Khanna said in the budget speech that Uttar Pradesh has secured the first
position in the entire country in the implementation of eight major schemes of
the central government. These schemes include Pradhan Mantri Atal Pension
Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima
Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Pradhan
Mantri Awas Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana and Ayushman Bharat Digital
Mission.
He
informed that under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, 9 crore 57 lakh bank
accounts have been opened in Uttar Pradesh, which is the highest in the
country. This scheme connected the poor to the banking system and ensured their
financial inclusion. It is the effect of this scheme that today the purchasing,
selling and depositing capacity of the poor has increased unprecedentedly.
UP
has added more than one crore 12 lakh people under the Pradhan Mantri Atal
Pension Yojana. This scheme was created to ensure financial security in old
age, which has greatly benefited the workers of the unorganized sector. 8 crore
80 lakh people have benefited in Uttar Pradesh under the Pradhan Mantri
Suraksha Bima Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana. Suraksha Bima
Yojana provides insurance protection at just Rs 12 per year and Jeevan Jyoti
Bima Yojana at just Rs 330 per year, which has provided relief to poor and
lower-middle class families.
Finance
Minister Suresh Khanna said that under the Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, loans
have been distributed to more than 1.85 crore small entrepreneurs, which has
increased employment and self-employment opportunities in the state. Especially
women, youth and small businessmen have got great benefit from this scheme.
Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, more than 56.50 lakh families in Uttar
Pradesh have been given the benefit of the scheme, which has made the dream of
a roof over the head of poor families come true.
The
Yogi government has worked to raise the standard of living of the poor by
accelerating the implementation of this scheme. Under the Pradhan Mantri
Ujjwala Yojana, one crore 85 lakh women have been given free LPG gas
connections in Uttar Pradesh.
This
scheme freed women in rural areas from smoke and reduced health problems.
Similarly, under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, more than 12.45 crore
people have been benefited from this scheme by creating the highest number of
digital health IDs. Due to this, health services are becoming easily available
on the digital platform.
