New Delhi, 21 February (HS): The Supreme Court has issued a notice to the CBI while hearing the bail plea of ​​former West Bengal Education Minister Partha Chatterjee in the CBI case related to the cash for job scam. A bench headed by Justice Suryakant ordered the next hearing of the case on March 20.

The Supreme Court has issued a notice to the CBI on the bail plea of ​​Partha Chatterjee in the cash for job scam in West Bengal. The court directed the trial court to expedite the trial against Partha Chatterjee. Earlier, the Calcutta High Court had rejected Partha Chatterjee's bail plea. The High Court had found that the ED had seized movable and immovable assets worth Rs 54.88 crore from the premises linked to Chatterjee.
