New Delhi, 21 February (HS): The Supreme Court has issued notice to Assam and Maharashtra government while hearing a petition seeking cancellation or transfer of FIR lodged in Guwahati against Ashish Chanchlani in the case of obscene comments in the comedy show 'India's Got Latent'. The bench headed by Justice Suryakant tagged Ashish Chanchlani's petition with Ranveer Allahabadia's petition. The court directed Ashish Chanchlani to join the investigation within ten days.

An FIR has been lodged against Ashish Chanchlani in Guwahati. In this case, the Gauhati High Court has granted anticipatory bail to Ashish Chanchlani. The Supreme Court has stayed the arrest of Ranbir Allahabadia. The Supreme Court had said that Ranveer will not go out of the country without the permission of the court and will have to submit his passport to the police station. Currently, Ranveer and his companions will not do the India's Got Latent show. The court had said that Ranveer should be ashamed of his comments. Parents, sisters and daughters and the entire society will feel ashamed of Ranveer's comment.

Justice Suryakant told ASG Aishwarya Bhati, who appeared in another case, that Attorney General R Venkataramani and Solicitor General Tushar Mehta should assist the court in the next hearing on Ranveer Allahabadia's petition in the dispute related to India Got Latent.
