New Delhi, 21 February (HS): External Affairs Minister Dr. S Jaishankar met Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on Friday on the sidelines of the G-20 Foreign Ministers' meeting held in Johannesburg, South Africa. During this, the progress made in bilateral relations after the meeting held in November last year was reviewed.
Foreign Minister Dr. S Jaishankar shared pictures of the meeting on social media and said that the G-20 Foreign Ministers' meeting in Johannesburg provided an opportunity to meet CPC Politburo member and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi this morning.
Foreign Ministry spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said about this meeting in the weekly press conference held today that the two ministers reviewed the progress made in bilateral relations since the meeting held in November last year. In this, peace in border areas, Kailash Mansarovar Yatra, air connectivity and travel facilities were discussed in particular. He said that this meeting lasted for about 30 minutes.
The agreement between the two countries regarding the border related to eastern Ladakh has reduced. Now both the countries have agreed to restore Kailash Mansarovar Yatra and air flight.
