Lucknow,
21 Feb (HS): On the request of the State Minister of State (Independent Charge)
for Vocational Education, Skill Development and Entrepreneurship and
Muzaffarnagar MLA Kapil Dev Aggarwal, in the cabinet meeting held under the
chairmanship of the Chief Minister, approval has been given to extend the Ganga
Expressway to Haridwar via Muzaffarnagar. On this, Minister Kapil Dev Aggarwal
heartily congratulated Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. He informed that an
advance amount of Rs 50 crore has been allocated in the budget 2025-26 of Uttar
Pradesh for this important project, which will speed up the survey and
preliminary works.
How
did the project gain momentum? Minister Kapil Dev Aggarwal said that during the
cabinet meeting held in Prayagraj Maha Kumbh Complex last month, he had
requested the Chief Minister that Ganga Expressway should be extended to
Haridwar via Muzaffarnagar. The Chief Minister had ordered a survey on this,
after which it has now been approved in the budget.
Travel
and business will get benefits: This extension of the Ganga Expressway will
establish better road connectivity between Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, which
will ease traffic and boost industrial and business activities. Haridwar is a
religiously important city as well as a centre of tourism and business. In such
a situation, this project will help in connecting the business centres of
Uttarakhand with the industrial areas of UP.
Local
residents expressed gratitude: After this decision, Minister Kapil Dev Aggarwal
met the Chief Minister on behalf of the people of the area and thanked him. He
said that this project will help in the development of the state socially and
economically.
