NEW DELHI, 20 February (H.S.) : The biopic on Aligarh
Muslim University founder Sir Syed Ahmed Khan has been refused to be streamed
on Prasar Bharati, which is economically not viable, after which the filmmaker
got angry. He accuses that it seems that my proposal was canceled to please the
political masters.
The biopic on Aligarh
Muslim University (AMU) founder Sir Syed Ahmed Khan has been released
internationally on OTT platforms, but at National platform Doordarshan has
flatly refused to stream it on Prasar Bharati's OTT due to not profitable
project. The film ‘Sir Syed Ahmed Khan: The Messiah’ has been released
recently. This biopic has been made on the life of Sir Syed Khan. The film
producer accuses that it seems that my proposal has been canceled to please the
political masters.
Prasar Bharati OTT found that
this project could not be eligible to broadcast/stream under Revenue Sharing
Mode (RSM) on the upcoming platform. PB's program executive has given this
information in his letter to Mumbai-based production house Dark Horse
Productions. He said that I am directed to inform you that your proposal to
offer a program based on Sir Syed Ahmed Khan has not been accepted.
