Dhubri (Assam), 06 December (HS): Police in Dhubri district’s Gauripur area detained youth after recovering a pistol from his possession. Police officials informed on Saturday that the incident took place in Ward No. 10 of Gauripur.

Officials said the detained youth has been identified as Rafikul Islam. He was apprehended during a police operation based on specific inputs. The seized weapon has been sent for examination and further investigation is underway to ascertain the source of the pistol and the youth’s possible links.---------
