Bhubaneswar, 6 December (H.S.): More than 6.23 lakh applications seeking inclusion under the Subhadra Yojana are currently under scrutiny, Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida informed the Legislative Assembly on Saturday.
Responding to a question raised by BJD MLA Ganeshwar Behera, the Deputy CM said the applications are undergoing a multi-level verification process before final approval is granted. As per the data submitted in the House, a total of 6,23,555 fresh applications are presently being examined.
Parida stated that scrutiny of documents and eligibility checks is being carried out in coordination with district administrations. She added that many applications require field verification and cross-checking with existing beneficiary databases to prevent duplication.
The pending applications include women who turned 21 this year, as well as those who could not apply during previous registration phases.
According to sources, once the verification exercise is completed, all eligible applicants from this batch are expected to receive all three instalments of the Subhadra Yojana benefits together during the next round of disbursement, likely in March 2026.
