Guwahati, 05 December (HS): Dispur Police arrested a drug trafficker after seizing a significant quantity of heroin during a raid at a hotel in the Six Mile area.

According to police, a team from Dispur Police Station conducted the raid at Hotel Silver Stay on the basis of specific intelligence inputs and apprehended the accused with heroin. The arrested trafficker has been identified as Sadiq Mohammad Laskar (41) of Hailakandi.

During the operation, police recovered nine soap cases containing a total of 103 grams of heroin. A case under relevant sections of the NDPS Act has been registered, and further legal action is underway.
