
Guwahati, 06 December (HS): Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday paid rich tributes to Dr Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar on his death anniversary, recalling his enduring contributions to the nation.
In his message, the Chief Minister described Dr Ambedkar as a visionary jurist, an able statesman and the principal architect of the Indian Constitution, who laid the foundation of an equitable and discrimination-free society based on harmony, fraternity and unity. He said Ambedkar’s ideals will forever remain a guiding force for the country.
Dr Sarma further noted that the intellectual courage of Dr Ambedkar strengthened the principles of justice and equality in Indian democracy, continuing to guide the nation’s social conscience. Remembering Chaityabhoomi, he said it inspires the understanding that Ambedkar’s vision is not merely historical but a moral cornerstone for India’s present and future.
