North 24 Paragnas, 4 December (H.S.): The police from Khardah police station in North 24 Paragnas district arrested a man with 21 kg of marijuana on Wednesday night.

According to police sources, based on a tip-off, Khardah police conducted a special operation near the Khardah Jute Mill on Wednesday night. During the search, the police apprehended a suspect and searched him. Three bags containing approximately 21 kg of marijuana were recovered from the suspect. The police seized the drugs on the spot and arrested the accused.

According to police, a case has been registered against the accused under relevant sections and an investigation has been initiated. It was also reported that Barrackpore Police Commissionerate is continuously conducting a strict campaign against drug trafficking and other criminal activities, and this action was taken as part of that effort.
