Ayodhya,

31 Dec (HS): The second anniversary of the consecration of Ram Lalla is being

celebrated in Ayodhya on the last day of 2025. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh

has also arrived in Ramnagari for this occasion. Addressing the 'Pratishtha

Dwadashi' ceremony at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple, Chief Minister Yogi

Adityanath launched a scathing attack on previous governments, saying that

previous governments had conspired and bloodied Ayodhya. He said that after 500

years, the enshrinement of Ram Lalla in Ayodhya and the grand appearance of the

temple bring joy and pride to the people.

According

to the CM, since independence, Ayodhya has witnessed many phases of the Ram

movement. The name Ayodhya evokes a sense of never having fought a war, and no

enemy could survive here due to its valor and grandeur. However, some people,

driven by vested interests, religious fanaticism, and the pursuit of power,

turned Ayodhya into a hotbed of violence and conflict. Now, people chant

Jai Shri Ram without fear, whereas previously, they would be beaten

with sticks for doing so.

The

second anniversary of the consecration of Lord Ram at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi

Temple, Pratishtha Dwadashi, was celebrated with reverence on

Wednesday. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh

also attended the ceremony. While wishing the New Year 2026 well, CM Yogi

prayed that this year be auspicious for all. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath

said that Ayodhya has witnessed many phases of the Ram Janmabhoomi movement in

independent India. The very name of Ayodhya gives the impression that there has

never been a war here. No enemy could withstand the valor, splendor, and might

of this place. However, some people, driven by selfishness, religious

fanaticism, and the despicable pursuit of appeasement, turned Ayodhya into a

hub of violence and conflict.

Terrorist attacks used to happen during the rule of previous governments: Taking

the previous government to task, CM Yogi said that Ayodhya, which was never

strife-torn, was the scene of terrorist attacks under previous governments.

There were attempts to leave Ayodhya bloodied, but how could a terrorist enter

a place where God's grace showers and where Lord Hanuman himself resides in

Hanumangarhi? In 2005, as soon as terrorists dared, PAC soldiers killed them

with a thumping thump.

Three dates that can never be forgotten: CM Yogi said that Ayodhya can

never forget three important events that took place within 11 years under the

leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. For the first time in independent

India, a Prime Minister arrived in Ayodhya on August 5, 2020. He performed the

groundbreaking ceremony of the Shri Ram Temple there that day. On January 22, 2024

(Paush Shukla Dwadashi), the Prime Minister returned to Ayodhya and performed

the consecration ceremony of the grand idol of Ram Lalla. On November 25, 2025,

on Vivah Panchami, the Prime Minister installed the saffron flag of Sanatan

Dharma on the main peak of the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, giving the message that

no one is above Sanatan. The flag of Sanatan will always appear like this.

Rajnath Singh played a direct role in the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement: Chief

Minister Yogi Adityanath said that Rajnath Singh, while serving as the Chief

Minister of Uttar Pradesh and discharging various organizational

responsibilities, played a direct role in the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi movement. He

is feeling joy and pride at the enshrinement of Lord Ram Lalla at the Shri Ram

Janmabhoomi after 500 years and the grand form of the temple. I have seen the

Defense Minister, who played an active role in the movement, becoming emotional

when he was hoisting the flag of Sanatan Dharma at the temple of Maa Annapurna

on Pratishtha Dwadashi.

45 crore devotees visited Ayodhya in five years: CM Yogi said that

before 2017, there was no electricity, water, sanitation, roads, connectivity,

security. Chanting Jai Shri Ram used to lead to lathi charge and arrest, but to

take the message of Ayodhya forward, every Sanatan Dharma follower from the

country and the world is now overwhelmed after visiting here. Earlier, a few

lakh people used to come here, but in the last five years, more than 45 crore

devotees have come to Ayodhya. Ayodhya, the capital of Surya dynasty, has

developed as the country's first solar city. There is an international airport

in Ayodhya Dham; Ayodhya has been connected with the double line of railway.

Connectivity has improved here from all sides. The Ayodhya which used to have

single lane roads, today has four lane roads.

Now you can say Jai Shri Ram and Ram Ram everywhere in the country: Gorakhpeethadhiswar

and Chief Minister Mahant Yogi Adityanath said that now, chanting Jai Shri Ram

and Ram Ram is acceptable everywhere in the country. The Government of India

has now launched a scheme named Ji Ram Ji. This is poised to become

the largest employment scheme. If any unemployed person expresses a need for

employment in their village panchayat, they will be guaranteed 125 days of

employment per year in their village.

Ram devotees did not care about sticks and bullets: CM Yogi said that

our generation is fortunate. Referring to the history of five hundred years, he

said that from 1528 to 1992 and even after that, Ram devotees continued to

struggle every 20-25 years to take back the Ram temple in Ayodhya. They did not

stop, bow down or sit down. They did not care about power, oppression, sticks

and bullets, but kept fighting. This movement reached new heights of success

when the RSS provided leadership. Ashok Singhal succeeded in bringing revered

saints on one platform. The stigma of slavery was erased and the path was paved

for a grand Ram temple.

This is not the end of a journey, but the beginning of a new journey: CM

Yogi said that today a ceremony was held to mark the completion of two years of

Pran-Pratishtha. To preserve the grandeur and divinity of Ayodhya forever,

every follower of Sanatan Dharma must move forward. This is not a pause in the

journey, but the beginning of a new one. We must establish new paradigms of

development while taking pride in our heritage. PM Modi has given every Indian

the vision of a developed India. When the country completes 100 years of

independence, every Indian should resolve to achieve excellence in their field

while preserving the heritage. To raise the flag of the country and Sanatan

Dharma, we must all join together and increase our collective efforts. This

effort will establish India as a major global power.
