​Latur, 31 Dec (HS): An offence against six accused using fake signatures of

Tehsildar, rubber stamps and issuing orders to cheat the government. The racket

came to notice following a complaint by Ahmedpur Tehsildar Abhilash Mahadev

Jagtap with the police.

Based

on Jagtap’s complaint, office against six were registered by the Ahmedpur

police. The names of the accused are – Sheikh Afroz (Popular Xerox, Ahmedpur),

Nisar Khureshi. Fazahat Meer (Ali Online Centre), Ghous Maniyar, Bilal Moulana,

and Matin Sheikh (National Online), all residents of Ahmedpur.

Police

found as many as 311 documents including birth and death registration issued using

fake signatures and rubber stamps. Offence under sections 318(4), 340(2),

336(3), 336 (3) and 3(5) of BNS has been registered.

The

documents using fake signatures were issued between1 April 2024 and 31 March

2025.
