The deceased woman's husband, Musafir Gond, filed the complaint.
As per information, Musafir Gond admitted his 62-year-old wife, Ramvati Devi, to the hospital at around 2 pm on November 30th in critical condition. Doctors said that the patient's condition was serious, but she was improving.
According to the complaint, hospital security personnel mistreated the patient's family members during treatment. The complainant said such behavior is not common even in major hospitals.
He requested an air-conditioned room from the hospital, but the management said that permission from Dr. Arpan Mukherjee was required. Allegedly, the doctor refused the request, citing the ICU.
Furthermore, the doctor have been accused of making persistent pressure in the name of cardiac channel. The complainant said that he requested the patient's proper transfer at 7:15 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. on Tuesday, to which the hospital management replied that the patient would be transferred to a normal bed.
The family alleged that the hospital did not provide any clear information about the patient's condition. At 4 p.m., they were suddenly informed that Ramvati Devi had died. The deceased's husband also said that the hospital did not answer any of his calls before this.
Musafir Gond demanded post-mortem of the deceased and an impartial investigation into the matter.
Another serious allegation is that when his daughter visited her mother during visiting hours, hospital security personnel pushed and behaved indecently with her. The complainant also demanded action against the hospital security personnel.
However, as of the time of filing this report, there has been no official response from the hospital management regarding these allegations. The police have filed a complaint and are investigating the matter.
