Mumbai, 3 December (H.S.): The Thane Municipal Corporation announced that its next Janata Darbar, a public grievance redressal day, will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026. Citizens are requested to submit their applications in duplicate at the Municipal Corporation building's Urban Facilities Center by December 22, 15 days prior to the event.

Applicants must include Form-1 (B) with each complaint, available at the Urban Facilities Center. In accordance with a 2012 Maharashtra General Administration Department circular, representations are not accepted on Janata Darbar day itself but must be deposited at the municipal office beforehand.

Only citizens who submitted representations at the district Janata Darbar and whose complaints have not been acted upon for at least one month are eligible to present their issues at the municipal headquarters. Each representation may contain only one complaint; multiple complaints in a single application will be rejected.

Furthermore, complaints pending in courts, those involving the Lokayukta or under the Right to Information Act, or submitted on political party or corporator letterhead with final responses already issued, will not be accepted unless the matter is personal in nature.
