Chennai, 3 December (H.S.) : The Southern Railway has announced the operation of special express trains between Nagercoil and Madgaon (Goa) to manage the anticipated extra rush of passengers during the Christmas and New Year holidays. A total of three services will be run in each direction.
The Train No 06083 Nagercoil – Madgaon Junction Express Special will depart from Nagercoil at 11:40 am on three consecutive Tuesdays: December 23, December 30, and January 6, arriving in Madgaon at 8:50 am the following day. For the return journey, the Train No 06084 Madgaon Jn – Nagercoil Express Special will leave Madgaon at 10:15 am on December 24, December 31, and January 7 (Wednesdays), reaching Nagercoil at 11:00 am the next day.
The trains will feature a standard composition, including two AC three-tier coaches, 15 sleeper class coaches, and four general/second-class coaches, two of which are disabled-friendly. Advance reservation for these special festival trains is scheduled to open at 8:00 am on Thursday, December 4, from the Southern Railway end.
