
Jammu, 3 December (H.S.): Major General Ranjan Mahajan, SM, VSM (Retd) met Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha at the Raj Bhawan here today and presented the latter his latest book “Kashmir in the Line of Fire.”
The retired Army officer shared that the book captures ground realities in Kashmir, including the experiences of soldiers, the resilience of local communities, and the complexities of the security situation.
He said the work is based on decades of his service in the region and aimed at offering an authentic and balanced account.
The Lieutenant Governor appreciated the effort behind the publication and said the book contributes to better public understanding of Kashmir’s history, culture and strategic importance.
He congratulated Maj Gen Mahajan for presenting a narrative that blends military insights with human stories.
Maj Gen Mahajan expressed gratitude for the warm reception and said presenting the book to the Lieutenant Governor was an honour.
He added that the book is a tribute to the spirit of soldiers and the people of Kashmir.
