
Lucknow, 3 Dec (HS): Yogi Adityanath, the Chief Minister of Uttar
Pradesh, has paid respect to Dr. Rajendra Prasad, India's first President, on
his birth anniversary, and has declared that the National Law University in
Prayagraj would be renamed after him. Adityanath emphasized Prasad's position
as a liberation warrior, a significant actor in the constitution's writing, and
his dedication to Indian culture and heritage. CM Yogi has constantly paid
honor to Dr. Rajendra Prasad on his birth day, including garlanding his
monument on behalf of the people. Adityanath has stressed Prasad's leadership
during the independence fight, as well as his role as India's first president
and head of the Constitution-drafting committee. He has also mentioned Prasad's
deep connection to Indian culture, citing his assistance for the renovation of
the Somnath Temple as well as his love of Prayagraj and the Kumbh Mela.
In a post on X, he
remarked, “Humble tributes to
India's first President, great freedom fighter, and Chairman of the Constituent
Assembly, Bharat Ratna Dr. Rajendra Prasad on his birth
anniversary. Dr. Rajendra Prasad's exemplary life, humility, and spirit of
national service are an inspiration to every Indian. His contributions
strengthened and solidified the foundation of Indian democracy.”
He also paid tribute to immortal revolutionary Khudiram Bose
on his birth anniversary. In another post on X, he stated, “Humble tributes to the immortal
revolutionary Khudiram Bose on his birth anniversary. By sacrificing his life
at a young age for the independence of Mother India, he gave new life to the
freedom struggle. His patriotism will continue to inspire our countrymen for
ages.”
