
Chennai, 3 December (H.S.): A bus accident in Tamil Nadu on Tuesday left 13 passengers injured after two government buses collided head-on near the town of Uthangarai. According to reports, one government bus traveling toward Krishnagiri suddenly crashed into another bus that was heading toward Tiruvannamalai. The cause of the collision remains under investigation by the police.
While no fatalities have been reported in this incident, two passengers sustained severe injuries, and 11 others suffered minor injuries. All the injured were immediately transported to the Uthangarai Government Hospital for treatment.
This collision occurred barely a day after a tragic accident near Thirupathur where two other government buses crashed head-on, resulting in the deaths of 11 people and leaving approximately 40 injured.
Following that earlier tragedy, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin expressed his shock and pain on X, immediately instructing officials to rush to the site and ensure high-quality medical treatment for the affected individuals.
