Lucknow,

25 Dec (HS): Akhilesh Yadav, head of the Samajwadi Party, urged for language

inclusion during court hearings on Thursday, after an Unnao rape survivor

allegedly voiced worry that the case was being heard in English. Yadav made

statements in a post on X about the Unnao rape case, which included former BJP

MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar.

Yadav

shared a photograph of a media piece emphasizing a survivor's worry, writing in

Hindi, Insaf ki zubaan samajh aane se hi insaf hoga, and adding

that language inclusiveness is a critical part in the quest of justice. In the

same piece, he stated in English that the administration of justice is

dependent on the employment of a language understood by all parties concerned.

Linguistic inclusion is a critical component in the proper administration of

justice.
