21 Dec (HS): Christmas fervour was
witnessed all across the Boys’ High School (BHS) and College campus at the
“Christmas Carnival” held on the lush green field of the school on Sunday. The
sprawling field and the stalls wore a festive look with Christmas colours all
over it. The carnival was inaugurated by the BHS Principal, D. A. Luke by
cutting the ribbon. As soon as the Principal declared the Christmas Carnival
open, students and parents swelled into the field. It was a fun-filled day for
the children from Playway to Class 12 and their parents, family members and
well-wishers.
There was something for everyone and it was a very enjoyable
Christmas celebration for all. Academic Supervisor CB Luke extended Christmas
greetings to all present and reminded everyone to carry forward the values of
Christmas—sharing and caring—throughout the year
An array of nearly sixty stalls of different
kinds from mouth watering delicacies to mock tail, cold drinks, ice-cream,
candy floss, chat, bhel-puri, churmura, chicken, kebab, biryani, pasta,
chowmein, momos, pav bhaji, chola bhatura, chilla, cutlets, cakes and pastries,
spring rolls and coffee.
The youngsters made merry at the various game
stalls, namely, Football Mania, Net the Ball, Burning the Candles, Kangaroo
Goodies, Tailing the Elephant, Hoopla, Coconut Shy, Fishing the Bottle, Feed
the Joker, Shooting the Balloons etc. The Instant Photo Shoot and the PUBG
attracted the crowd of the youngsters between the age of ten to eighteen. The
other attractions which fascinated the teenagers were the Fortune Wheel, Land
and Water Zorbing, Camel and Horse rides. An interactive Lucky draw was also
taken out and the winners were given Hero Honda Activa Mobike, Playstation,
Laptop, Cell Phone and Hamper Baskets. The students thanked the Principal for
organizing such a wonderful fete in the school and requested him to organize it
again the next year.
