Lucknow, 21 Dec (HS): Samajwadi Party President
Akhilesh Yadav accused the BJP-led government on Sunday of fostering monopolies
in the country's economic and political life.
Yadav
said in a post on X that the BJP sought to consolidate enterprises in the hands
of a few industrialists to make political fundraising easier. According to him,
the BJP government's covert objective is to move toward 'one nation, one
businessman'. According to Yadav, under the premise of one business, one source
of contribution, BJP leaders aim to put every sector of the country's economy
in the hands of a select few so that they do not have to travel to multiple
locations for funding.
The
former Uttar Pradesh chief minister further accused the governing party of
prioritizing its thirst for money and installing subservient puppets in
government and party organizations to achieve political and financial goals. Yadav
argued that monopolistic tendencies were harmful for any country, regardless of
whether they arose in the political, economic, or social domains. He stated
that monopolies in any sphere, whether in politics, the economics, or social
domination, are detrimental to any nation. Yadav accused the BJP administration
of seeking to demolish other manufacturing companies in order to shift economic
dominance to a few chosen people, claiming that such actions would have
significant and hazardous implications. He believed that the following phase
would be unrestrained profiteering, growing inflation, and, finally, enormous
corruption.
He
further said that laws and regulations would be changed to promote monopolistic
corporations, consumers would be taxed arbitrarily, and workers would
experience more exploitation under a less pay, more work formula. Farmers and
the PDA (Picchda, Dalit, Alpsankhyak) community would be ignored. According to
Yadav, about 95% of the people would suffer from serious exploitation. Calling
for collective opposition, the Samajwadi Party chairman stated, Today,
the country must unite and tell the BJP that monopoly is not acceptable.
