Chennai, 21 December (H.S.) : Chief Minister and DMK president MK Stalin has extended his warm Christmas greetings to the people of Tamil Nadu, emphasizing that the festival serves as a source of hope and guides society toward peace and happiness.
Addressing a gathering in Tirunelveli on Saturday, the Chief Minister asserted that the spirit of brotherhood and rational thinking remains the defining identity of the state. He noted that Christmas is a celebration embraced by people of all faiths who exchange goodwill, reflecting the deep rooted communal harmony in Tamil Nadu.
Stalin highlighted the state’s tradition where individuals from different religious backgrounds actively participate in each other’s festivities. He pointed out instances where Muslims and Christians provide food to temple devotees, and Hindus join in church celebrations, illustrating a culture of mutual respect.
The Chief Minister urged the public to work toward building a loving society, stating that love has the power to remove sins and create the peaceful environment that India needs today. He maintained that as long as brotherhood and rational thinking prevail, divisive political conspiracies will not find success in the state.
