Kolkata, 2 December (H.S.): Amid the ongoing SIR process in West Bengal, Leader of the Opposition Suvendu Adhikari shared an audio clip from his X-account on Tuesday, leveling serious allegations against Mamata Banerjee government and the administration. However, Hindusthan Samachar does not confirm the authenticity of the audio clip.

Adhikari claimed that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is upset by the SIR. He alleged that, on her instructions, the administration is working to ensure that the names of deceased voters are not deleted from the voter list, so that fraudulent voting can be carried out secretly during the elections.

Regarding the audio clip posted, Adhikari claimed that it is the voice of a BLO from Falta area. According to him, the BDO and ARO of Falta called all BLOs and said, No deceased person's name will be deleted without a death certificate.

According to the BLO's alleged allegations, many families have signed the enumeration forms for deceased relatives, making their own declarations. Despite this, uploading these forms has been prohibited.

BLOs are being told not to upload the forms but to un-map them, leaving room for later manipulation of the list.

Suvendu Adhikari also alleged that some anti-social elements are going door-to-door, threatening people not to provide BLOs with death certificates.

Suvendu Adhikari described this as a conspiracy to keep dead voters on the voter list.

He said that BLOs need not be afraid of any threats and should assist the Election Commission in accordance with the law. He also warned that BDOs and AROs who are slaves of the Trinamool Congress should be careful, or they will face consequences. The BJP is closely monitoring the matter.

Finally, Suvendu Adhikari demanded that the Chief Electoral Officer of Bengal and the Election Commission investigate the allegations made in this alleged recording and take immediate action against the BDOs and AROs.
