Bhubaneswar, 2 December (H.S.): A tragic accident claimed the life of a college student and left two others injured when a high-speed Hyva truck struck them near Kurakana Square, under Jenapur police station in Jajpur district, on Tuesday morning.

The deceased has been identified as Chinmay Nayak, son of Shatrughna Nayak. The students were reportedly on their way to college when the incident occurred. Chinmay Nayak was pronounced dead at the scene, while the two other students were immediately rushed to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.

The accident provoked anger among local residents, who reportedly set the truck on fire. At the time of reporting, police authorities had not yet arrived at the scene to take control of the situation.
