Biswanath (Assam), 02 December (HS): A police constable was killed on the spot in a road accident at Gahpur in Assam’s Biswanath district on Tuesday.

According to police, the constable was returning home after dropping his child at school when the accident occurred in the Gohpur area, leading to his immediate death.

The deceased has been identified as Manoj Gohain. A police team rushed to the spot upon receiving information, took custody of the body and sent it for post-mortem examination.

The incident has cast a pall of gloom over the locality. Police have registered an FIR and initiated an investigation into the case.--------
