Bhubaneswar, 2 December (H.S.): A total of 1,58,509 houses have been approved under the Antyodaya Housing Scheme for the fiscal years 2024-25 and 2025-26 till November. Similarly, under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural) for 2024-25, 1,02,704 houses have been sanctioned.

This information was provided by Panchayati Raj Minister Ravi Nayak in a written reply to a question raised by BJD MLA Ganeshwar Behera.

According to the minister, the districts of Ganjam and Mayurbhanj received the highest number of houses under the Antyodaya Housing Scheme, with over 11,000 houses sanctioned in the past two years. Sundargarh district received over 9,000 houses. Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (Rural), the highest number of houses, 12,000, were approved for Nuapada district, while Bhadrak and Nabarangpur ranked second and third in terms of house allocations.
