Varanasi, 2 Dec (HS): The fourth edition of the Kashi Tamil Sangamam will kick off with grand

celebrations at Namoghat in the holy city of Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh, on Tuesday

evening. Preparations for the event are complete, and the first batch from

Tamil Nadu has arrived in Kashi to participate in the inaugural ceremony. Upon

disembarking from a special train at Varanasi Railway Station, the Tamil

contingent was greeted with the beats of drums, chants of Har Har

Mahadev, and a shower of flowers.

The local BJP District President and MLC, Hansraj

Vishwakarma, along with representatives from organizations involved in

organizing the event, were present at the station to welcome the 216 Tamil

students. The Tamil students were extremely excited and overwhelmed by the

traditional hospitality and grand welcome of Kashi. Chief Minister Yogi

Adityanath, Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Tamil Nadu Governor

R.N. Ravi, and several other distinguished guests will be present at the

inaugural ceremony of the fourth edition of the Kashi Tamil Sangam.

The theme of this event, which culturally connects

North and South India, is Tamil Karkalam, meaning Learn

Tamil. More than 1,400 delegates from Tamil Nadu are arriving in Kashi

for this event. Traditional artists from Kashi and Tamil Nadu will present a

joint performance, presenting a wonderful fusion of Indian culture.

Delegates' Kashi

tour program: The first batch of Tamil Sangamam 4.0 delegates will first arrive

at Hanuman Ghat, where they will bathe in the Ganges, visit temples associated

with South Indian tradition, and gain historical information. Afterward, the

delegates will visit Baba Vishwanath at Shri Kashi Vishwanath Dham and receive

prasad at Maa Annapurna Rasoi. All delegates will then be taken to BHU, where

they will participate in academic programs and visit various important sites on

the university campus.
