New Delhi, 15 December (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended heartfelt birthday greetings on Monday to Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, who turns 58—coinciding exactly with the second anniversary of his swearing-in as the state's 14th chief minister on December 15, 2023, after BJP's assembly poll triumph.

In a warm X post, Modi praised Sharma's noteworthy efforts to add vigour to the state’s development journey and fulfil the dreams of the youth, wishing him robust health and longevity, amid tributes from Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh.

Born December 15, 1967, in Nadbai, Bharatpur, Sharma—a grassroots BJP karyakarta since the 1990s—rose through organizational roles to helm the government, prioritizing youth empowerment via 85,000 jobs announced, paper leak crackdowns via SIT probes, skill initiatives like I-Start for 150 startups, and policies in agriculture, power, investment, and MSMEs.

His administration's youth-centric thrust includes the Learn-Earn-Progress program, Sports Life Insurance, and over Rs 31,000 crore projects, aligning with Modi's vision of job creators over seekers.

Sharma marked the occasion humbly with prayers at Jaipur's Moti Dungri Ganesh and Govind Devji temples, gaushala service at Sanganer Pinjrapole, blood donation oversight, a Nathdwara pilgrimage to Shrinathji, and inaugurations of health camps, RUHS facilities, and a state-level exhibition at JKK—exemplifying service amid his government's two-year progress report.
